APSCA and the Identity Counsel International welcome you to the Annual Pan-African Forum & Exposition on digital identity (eID) and its applications for driving socio-economic development in Africa. We are pleased that the inaugural event, “The 1st Government Forum on Electronic Identity in Africa”, will be hosted by the National Identification Authority (NIDA) of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Tanzania on June 2-4, 2015 in Dar es Salaam.

The event brings together representatives of four key stakeholder groups in the identity space in Africa:

• The identity authorities and users
• The international development agencies
• The solution providers
• The domain experts

The convergence of these four stakeholders in a focused forum creates unique opportunities for networking and exchange of ideas, experiences and funding sources. It unites all the necessary ingredients for enabling the right ecosystem to emerge for the adoption of eID in Africa as an enabler of socio-economic development.
