Vaccines

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends routine vaccines, Hepatitis A and Typhoid for most travelers to Namibia. Delegates attending ID4Africa 2017 are advised to consult with your doctor at least 6-8 weeks in advance of travel to determine what vaccines will be necessary based on your length of stay and travel activities. Seeing your doctor will also provide the opportunity to discuss important travel health tips to further ensure an enjoyable stay during your visit in Namibia.

Yellow Fever

There is no risk of yellow fever in Namibia. However, the government of Namibia requires proof of yellow fever vaccination only if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever. Please check this list to see if you may be required to get the yellow fever vaccine: Countries with risk of yellow fever virus (YFV) transmission.
