As Program Manager, Vyjayanti Desai is focused on scaling up and operationalizing ID4D and collaborating with key external partners. Within the WBG, she has shaped many cross-departmental and inter-WBG programs, actively working to develop a unified agenda and designing integrated multi-sectoral solutions on a range of topics. Julia Clark
Program Officer The World Bank – ID4D
Julia Clark is a Program Officer with the World Bank’s Identification for Development (ID4D) Initiative, which brings global knowledge and expertise across sectors to help countries realize the transformational potential of digital ID systems. She has worked on the application of ID systems and biometric recognition for development since 2011, at both the World Bank and the Center for Global Development. Clark holds an MA from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, and is completing her PhD at the University of California, San Diego.

Anna Metz
Program Analyst The Word Bank – ID4D
Anna Metz is a Program Analyst with the World Bank’s Identification for Development (ID4D) Initiative. She manages ID4D’s global data collection effort and provides technical guidance to World Bank country clients on the design and implementation of ID systems. Metz is the co-author, with Alan Gelb, of the book ‘Identification Revolution: Can Digital ID be Harnessed for Development?’. Metz holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a BA from the University of Warwick.
