After 3 years’ experience in the private sector (Caen / France), Mouhcine Yejjou joined the DGSN in 2004 as a state IT engineer in the telecommunications department, where for several years he held the post of head of network administration, and took part in a number of structuring projects for the DGSN. In 2017, the DGSN underwent a major modernization project, including the appointment of Mr. Yejjou as project manager for the new electronic national identity card, a project that will extend to the creation for the first time of an inclusive digital identity for all Moroccan citizens. As head of a digital team within the DGSN’s Information System and Communication Directorate, he is now considered one of the leading national and regional experts on identification, digital transformation and e-health. He is a member of several working groups on digital transformation in Morocco, and represents the Kingdom on the African Union’s digital identification working group.
