Moussa Seyni Gado has served as the General Secretary of Niger’s National Data Protection Authority (HAPDP) since the creation of the institution. He is a qualified magistrate and has held a number of judicial posts in Niger’s courts and in the central administration of the Ministry of Justice. In particular, he has held the position of judge in charge of civil, commercial and customary matters. In this capacity, he has dealt with civil status issues and regularly takes part in elections organised in Niger. He is also a graduate of the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Democracy. A human rights, good governance and data protection trainer, he is also interested in all matters relating to identification and the protection of privacy.
